The special Economic zone “Alga” from Bashkortostan took the 3rd place in the IX National Rating of the Investment attractiveness of the SEZ of Russia. The results of the rating were announced at a joint meeting of the expert council on the development of territories with preferential treatment of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy and the Commission of the Bureau of the Supreme Council of the United Russia Party with the support of the Association of Clusters, Technoparks and SEZs of Russia.
I always say that success is achieved by those who work systematically and purposefully. And without stopping, he moves forward. Our SEZ has exactly such a history. “Alga” has already won in special categories of the rating, twice became the most dynamically developing. And now the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, is in the top 3.
In 2025, the rating included 48 special economic zones of the country. During its formation, official statistical data, information from SEZ management companies and independent expert assessments were used.
This rating is an important incentive for the development of all types of SEZs, helping to attract investment and create new high-tech industries. We have significantly expanded the criteria system, increasing the focus on the competencies of management companies, their ability to respond to global challenges, as well as the availability of innovative and social infrastructure, said Mikhail Labudin, Director of the Association of Clusters, Technoparks and SEZs of Russia.
The Bashkortostan Development Corporation is the management company of the Alga SEZ. Today, the SEZ residents include 25 companies that intend to invest about 65 billion rubles and create over 3,200 new jobs.
Since 2021, our economic zone Alga has risen by 9 positions in this rating. We are currently among the top three in terms of investment attractiveness. We understand that in the context of global competition, it is necessary to work continuously. Therefore, the priority of the Development Corporation and the Management Company of the SEZ Alga for the future is the systematic improvement of conditions for investors in order to maintain a leading position and set new standards, said Nail Gabbasov, General Director of the Bashkortostan Development Corporation.
The methodology of the IX National Rating is based on 7 functional blocks consisting of 41 particular indicators. This year, experts also assessed the availability of innovative, social infrastructure and landscaping facilities, the experience of attracting government support measures for infrastructure, the availability of a low-carbon development strategy, industrial cooperation, the quality of social media, financial openness and strategic planning in the special economic zone.
