At the INNOPROM Forum. Belarus” Bashkortostan and Belarus signed an agreement of intent on cooperation within the framework of the Russian-Belarusian investment cluster being created. The new clusters are planned to be located in the SEZ “Alga” and SEZ “Minsk” on a mirror basis using a unique set of investor support measures.
The management company of the SEZ “Alga” is the Bashkortostan Development Corporation. According to the head of the department, Nail Gabbasov, the two republics have strong partnerships, and a number of joint projects have been implemented in terms of creating agricultural machinery and urban transport facilities. It should be recalled that the opening of a multi-brand production and service center in Ufa also took place in August. He will service the equipment produced by Belarusian holdings.
– The creation of the Russian-Belarusian Investment Cluster is a significant step in strengthening cooperation between the republics. We already have companies interested in residency. A special regime will operate on the territory of the clusters, including tax incentives, infrastructure preferences, subsidies and more,” Nail Gabbasov, Director General of the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan, said.
One of the key goals of creating a “mirror” cluster is to improve the investment climate and realize investment potential, as well as launch projects aimed at solving priority tasks of socio-economic development of Bashkortostan and Belarus. The signatories of the agreement were Artem Penzin, Director of the Alga SEZ Management Company, and Anatoly Kalinin, Head of the Minsk SEZ Administration.
