The special Economic Zone “Alga” is considered as a platform for the placement of a cooperative trade and logistics base within the framework of the development program of the Great Silk Road. The conditions for the implementation of this project were discussed during negotiations between representatives of the Sino-European Association for Technological and Economic Cooperation and the Development Corporation, the management company of the SEZ “Alga”.
– Colleagues intend to actively develop industrial cooperation between Russia and China, considering the SEZ as one of the main tools for trade and economic cooperation. Earlier, representatives of the Association have already visited the republic to get acquainted with its investment potential and now they have returned with new proposals. In addition to opening a trade and logistics base, the partners are also interested in the possibility of food supplies from Bashkir producers to China. We will work on all these issues together with relevant departments,” said Nail Gabbasov, Director General of the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The Chinese partners note that it was Alga that became the first in the list of sites suitable for hosting a trade and logistics base due to its comfortable geographical location and provision with all the necessary infrastructure. Following the negotiations, the meeting participants agreed to further study the possibility of implementing the project in the SEZ.
