The occupancy rate of the special economic zone “Alga” (SEZ) as of July this year is 58.5%. Since 2020, the occupancy rate of the production sites of the SEZ “Alga”, created on the initiative of the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, has increased by 40%. This indicates the interest of investors in the localization of enterprises on its territory.
Nail Gabbasov, General Director of the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan, commented on the dynamics of occupancy of the SEZ “Alga”.
– The special Economic Zone “Alga” is developing at a high pace. The support of the republic’s leadership in the creation of infrastructure and interaction with investors plays an important role. Since 2020, 22 companies with a total declared investment volume of about 65 billion rubles have become residents of the SEZ. Five have been conducting production activities for the past five years. Now the Alga SEZ is more than half full, and vacant sites are regularly booked by potential residents. Soon we plan to expand the territory of the SEZ by another 106 hectares and already have a pool of companies that intend to place their production facilities in the new territory,” Nail Gabbasov said.
Being the management company of the SEZ “Alga”, the Development Corporation of the Republic of Belarus creates engineering and transport infrastructure for residents. Thus, the total volume of capital investments in the infrastructure of the SEZ of the Alga industrial park since its creation amounted to 4.6 billion rubles.
