The increase in the number of residents of the special economic zone “Alga” in 2023 amounted to 67%. Such results were announced by Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov. In 2023, eight companies with a total declared investment volume of about 20 billion rubles became residents of the preferential zone. To date, 21 residents have been registered in the Alga SEZ with a total declared investment volume of over 60 billion rubles. According to the results of last year, 12 companies were residents of the preferential zone.
– Today, the Alga zone continues to actively work to attract large and promising investors. Let me remind you that an enterprise for the production of sportswear from the official outfitter of the Russian Olympic team, ZASPORT, is successfully operating on its territory. In October 2023, a plant for the production of equipment for post-harvest grain processing “Amkodor-Agidel” was launched on the territory of the Ufa Industrial Park, the fifth site of the SEZ. It is important that on the same day, the start of construction of a new plant for the production of municipal equipment “Amkodor-Alga” was launched,” Andrei Nazarov stressed.
Recall that in June of this year, by a decree of the Government of the Russian Federation, the territory of the Ufa Industrial Park was included in the special economic zone “Alga”. According to the results of the expansion, the total area of the SEZ is now about 763 hectares. The expansion of the SEZ has significantly affected the growth of new residents. This allowed not only to increase the total area of the preferential zone, but also to multiply its functionality.
– The advantage of the Alga zone is also that all new residents will implement their investment projects using unprecedented tax, rental and customs benefits. I would like to note that now we are also considering options for an additional increase in the territory of our SEZ by another 106 hectares. I am sure that the successful development of the Alga SEZ will continue, and the number of residents will only grow,” the Head of the regional Government added.
