The authorities of Bashkortostan signed an agreement with the thirteenth resident of the special economic zone “Alga” — the company “Farus-Synthesis”. The trilateral Agreement on the conduct of industrial and production activities was signed by the company’s management, the Development Corporation and the regional government. Next, the company will be included in the Register of SEZ Residents and will receive a corresponding certificate from the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.
Earlier, the investor’s business plan for the organization of the production of synthetic higher fatty alcohols with a production capacity of 48 thousand tons per year was approved by the Expert Council of the SEZ “Alga”. The cost of the project will amount to 14.7 billion rubles, it is planned to create 400 new jobs.
To date, this is the largest project in the SEZ “Alga”. Its implementation will allow replacing imported analogues and meeting the needs of the main consumers of manufactured products — chemical and petrochemical enterprises.
Earlier, the investment project was presented to the Head of the region within the framework of the next meeting of “Investchas”. In addition, in August of this year, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia included the initiative in the List of priority projects for the production of low-tonnage and medium-tonnage chemical products, which have a significant impact on the development of related sectors of the economy.
