Representatives of relevant departments, development agencies and entrepreneurs from 20 regions of the Volga and Ural Federal Districts of Russia got acquainted with the production sites and residents of the special economic zone “Alga”. The tour to the fifth site of the SEZ, the Ufa Industrial Park, took place as part of the training program “Managerial skills: development of regional teams” organized by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation.
The management company of the SEZ “Alga” is the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Nail Gabbasov, Director General of the department, commented on the last industrial tour.
– Despite the extensive training program, getting to know one of the most actively developing sites in our special economic zone is very important. We were able to visually demonstrate to our colleagues the infrastructure we have created, introduce our colleagues to residents and share our best practices, which allow us to safely say that our special economic zone is extremely attractive to investors, since its sites are already more than half occupied. In particular, in this regard, this year we plan to expand its territory by another 106 hectares,” Nail Gabbasov said.
As part of the industrial tour, the delegates visited the factory for the production of paints and lubricants of the company “Rossilber”, the woodworking enterprise “Ultra Decor” and the plant for the production of equipment for post-harvest grain processing “Amkodor-Agidel”. Residents told why they chose the SEZ to localize their production facilities. In addition to unprecedented tax and customs preferences, they particularly noted the comprehensive support from the regional government and, in particular, the Development Corporation.
Alexander Botnikov, an entrepreneur from Udmurtia, commented on the acquaintance with the industrial park.
– This is something very impressive. This is not my first visit to industrial facilities and I can say that there is something to see and learn here. Everything is very organically organized,” he said.
The three-day training program also included participation in panel sessions, where the head of the Development Corporation was one of the speakers. Nail Gabbasov told the participants about the tools used by the agency to attract investors, and also drew attention to the implementation of the Regional Investment Standard (RIS) in Bashkortostan, in which the activities of the development agency are one of the elements. This year, for the first time, the effectiveness of the implementation of RIS was taken into account when summarizing the results of the National Rating of the investment climate of the subjects of the Russian Federation. Thus, according to the monitoring results, the Development Corporation entered group “A”, receiving the highest number of points.
