The opening of production of grain drying complexes of the Amkodor holding in the Alga Special Economic zone (SEZ) and the interaction of the Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant and the Minsk Automobile Plant in terms of creating trolleybus production are called the most successful examples of joint cooperation between Bashkortostan and Belarus. This was stated by Dmitry Volvach, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. He also noted the high intensity of the development of dialogue between Bashkortostan and Belarus.
-The development of integration processes in the Union State is facilitated by close cooperation between Russian regions and Belarusian regions, Dmitry Volvach said. – The pace of cooperation demonstrates our commitment to achieving common goals. Together with our Belarusian colleagues, we plan to continue to do everything possible to promote cooperation between our countries, taking into account the current geopolitical situation.
As the Acting First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rustam Muratov noted, today Belarus is a strategic partner of Bashkortostan. The two republics are increasing the number of joint projects, the largest of which will be the Bashkir-Belarusian investment cluster.
– We discussed this initiative in detail with our Belarusian colleagues within the framework of the International Business Week. We expect that the Bashkir-Belarusian investment cluster will include a system for supporting joint projects, providing the necessary engineering and production infrastructure, solving organizational, administrative and a number of other issues. To date, the investment portfolio of joint projects in the near future is about 14 billion rubles, and in the future it will exceed the mark of 50 billion rubles,” Rustam Muratov added.
It should be noted that the creation of the Bashkir-Belarusian investment cluster will bring a number of preferences for the fraternal republic. Thus, in addition to expanding the sales market and reducing logistics costs, the certification process will be facilitated for Belarusian goods produced in the Russian region. It is assumed that the cluster will be located on the territory of the SEZ “Alga”, the management company of which is the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
– Currently, the special economic zone is more than half full – 22 companies are its residents. This indicates the interest of investors in the localization of enterprises on its territory. In this regard, the Republic of Bashkortostan has formed an application to the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia to increase the area of the SEZ by 106 hectares at the expense of land plots located in the Ufa district. Thus, the expansion of the territory will make it possible to allocate part of the sites for the creation of a cluster and take another step towards strengthening cooperation with our Belarusian colleagues,” commented Nail Gabbasov, General Director of the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Recall that at the International Business Week in Ufa within the framework of the session “The Union State: prospects for joint economic development programs” a Protocol of Intent was signed between the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Economic Development and Investment Policy of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation. The protocol was signed by Acting First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan – Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy Rustam Muratov and Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus Yuri Chebotar. The document provides for further development of cooperation and improvement of the business climate between Bashkortostan and Belarus, including taking into account the creation of the Bashkir-Belarusian investment cluster.
