The investment project for the creation of a production facility for the cultivation and deep processing of hydrobionts of sturgeon breeds of the company “Bashkalyk” was approved at a meeting of the Expert Council of the SEZ PPT “Alga”. The production is planned to be located at one of the sites of the special economic zone “Alga” in the Ishimbay district. The total investment in the project will amount to about 1.1 billion rubles with the creation of 28 new jobs. ⠀
— Earlier, during one of the meetings on the development of industries, Russian President Vladimir Putin focused on the need to increase the production and supply to the domestic market of high-quality, affordable food products, including fish products. This project is being implemented, among other things, in accordance with these instructions. So, when entering production facilities, the company plans to occupy a niche and supply products throughout Russia. In turn, the Development Corporation, as the management company of the SEZ “Alga”, took into account all the requirements of the investor to provide the project with the necessary resources, — said Nail Gabbasov, Director General of the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan. ⠀
The investment project is supported by the Development Corporation together with the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of the Republic of Bashkortostan. On the territory of the preferential zone, the investor will open an enterprise for the cultivation and deep processing of sturgeon hydrobionts with a capacity of 350 tons per year of marketable products and 10 tons per year of food caviar. ⠀
As part of the Development Corporation’s support, a financial model and a business plan for the investment project have been developed. The Corporation’s specialists also assisted in the preparation of a package of documents for submitting an application to the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan for obtaining the status of a SEZ resident.
