The authorities of Bashkortostan have signed an agreement of intent with an investor who plans to place on the territory of the special economic zone “Alga” the production of equipment for the disinfection of medical waste. The volume of investments in this project will amount to 1.1 billion rubles. The document was signed by Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic Andrey Nazarov and Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC “Sterium” Alexander Podsekin. The signing took place at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2023).
– There are no similar productions in Bashkortostan at the moment. The implementation of the new project will be an important step towards providing the republic and other Russian regions with equipment for this direction,” said Andrey Nazarov. – The opening of a new production facility also means tax revenues to the budget of Bashkortostan, as well as new jobs. For its part, the Government of the Republic will provide the support to which the investor is entitled.
As the Director General of the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan Nail Gabbasov noted, the special economic zone “Alga” is interesting to investors because of a number of advantages: favorable logistics location, infrastructure, as well as tax and customs preferences provided to residents of the SEZ.
It should be added that the company JSC “Sterium Service”, part of the group of companies JSC “Sterium”, is already implementing an investment project on the territory of Bashkortostan to create an enterprise for the centralized disinfection of medical waste in the Iglinsky district. Currently, construction and installation works have been completed at the facility, and the launch of the enterprise is scheduled for the end of June 2023.
