The issue of recruitment and training of personnel for investment projects implemented in the special economic zone “Alga” became one of the key issues at the meeting of the Government of Bashkortostan under the leadership of Prime Minister Andrei Nazarov.
– Today, the situation on the labor market has a positive trend. Last year, the unemployment rate was 2.3%, which is 1.1% lower than in the same period last year. The successful practice of staffing employers in the republic is the selection and training of personnel for investment projects implemented in the SEZ “Alga”. Here, purposeful work began back in 2021 with the Arkada industrial association, and later with the ZASPORT factory,” the head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted.
Lenara Ivanova, Minister of Family, Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic, spoke in more detail about the training of personnel for residents of the Alga zone in accordance with the instructions of the Government of the republic.
According to the minister, first of all, an analysis of the personnel needs of enterprises implementing investment projects and planning the development of production in the SEZ was carried out, and “roadmaps” were approved. Lenara Ivanova noted that since the beginning of 2023, 6.5 thousand unemployed residents of the region have been notified about employment opportunities in the garment industry, vacancies of SEZ enterprises, working conditions and wages. More than 2.4 thousand applicants took part in job fairs, open personnel selections, and field events of the employment center.
– Currently, 421 people are employed at Arkada (with an increasing total from 2022), 302 of them have been trained in the profession of “Sewing equipment operator with knowledge of digital equipment”. Of the 123 citizens employed by the ZASPORT company (cumulative total since the beginning of 2023), 79 sewing equipment operators have been trained with the assistance of specialized institutions of the Ministry of Family and Labor, – said Lenara Ivanova.
Andrey Nazarov noted that the need for personnel in the garment industries of the Alga zone remains, and along with the selection and training of potential employees, the key issue is wages, which should be competitive.
