In Bashkortostan, on the basis of the regional Development Corporation, the Association of Clusters, Technoparks and SEZS of Russia (AKIT RF) is working on the formation of master models of infrastructure sites aimed at achieving sustainable development goals. The field work is conducted under the leadership of the Director of the AKIT of the Russian Federation Andrey Shpilenko, experts of the Association also participate in it.
— Thanks to the systematic work in the direction of development and the successful experience of our region, the republic became the first to form master models of infrastructure platforms aimed at achieving sustainable development goals. This should lead to an increase in the investment attractiveness of our preferential zones,” said Nail Gabbasov, Director General of the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan. — The Working Group has started an ESG audit of infrastructure sites in the Republic of Bashkortostan, that is, to assess the compliance of the special economic zone “Alga” and the industrial park “Ufa” with the principles of sustainable development in 3 areas: environmental, social and managerial.
Based on the results of the work carried out, the participants will consider the issues of disclosure of non-financial reporting and will begin to form a strategy to achieve key ESG indicators on the infrastructure sites of the republic. ESG — responsible attitude to the environment, high social responsibility and high quality of corporate governance. The policy is based on the basic approaches and principles in the field of sustainable development, defined by international standards on ESG and sustainable development, legislative and ethical norms of the Russian Federation.
