The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation has accepted an application for the expansion of the special economic zone of the industrial-production type “Alga”. Since 2021, a specially created working group has been engaged in its preparation on the initiative of the authorities of Bashkortostan. In the fall of 2022, the work of specialists has moved into an active phase.
If the application is approved, the territories of the Ufa Industrial Park will be included in the special economic zone. Before settling on this option, the proposals of the republican and municipal authorities were analyzed.
– First of all, territories with the presence of potential investors interested in the implementation of projects in a particular territory and meeting the established requirements were taken into account. The location of the Ufa Industrial Park provides a favorable economic and geographical location, taking into account the proximity to Ufa, and the developed transport infrastructure and the availability of engineering networks will allow for convenient logistics,” Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov wrote on his pages on social networks. – Provides infrastructure and monitors the proper operation of communications in the territories of the industrial park “Ufa” and the SEZ “Alga” Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan, being the management company of these preferential zones.
After assigning the SEZ status to the industrial park, its new residents will be able to claim all the preferences granted to residents of the special economic zone: tax benefits, as well as the operation of a free customs zone.
