The Bashkortostan Development Corporation has developed 9 investment proposals for the Alga special economic zone. The total investment volume under them is estimated at 6.7 billion rubles. All of them are posted on the Investment Map of Russia. To date, the total number of investment proposals from Bashkortostan on the federal platform has reached 52. The total investment volume under them exceeds 17 billion rubles.
– We develop ready‑made solutions for investments so that they work for the benefit of the republic and bring benefits to the investor. After implementing investment proposals in the Alga special economic zone, the region may receive nearly 400 new jobs and new capital investments, while future project initiators will receive a ready‑made concept and free support from the Development Corporation. To this end, our specialists conduct an analysis of the industry, labour resources, and the raw material base. They also calculate financial indicators, select all available state support measures for each investment proposal and the site with the most favorable conditions,” Nail Gabbasov, General Director of the Bashkortostan Development Corporation, shared.
For example, production of separator tapes for lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries can be located in the Sterlitamak district on a preferential territory. Such batteries are used in various fields, from mechanical engineering to aviation and medicine. The relevance of the offer is due to the growing demand for the production of such batteries, of which the separator tape is a part. The construction period is just over 1 year. To implement the project, the investor will need 2.6 billion rubles.
Proposals are also being developed for the planned site No. 6 in the Ufa District. On the new territory, it will be possible to build a container power complex based on a gas‑piston unit. Today, there are already 5 potential consumers of electricity and heat from the complex — these are the future residents of the planned site. In the first stage of construction, the investor will need approximately 900 million rubles; further work will be carried out using the income from the existing first part of the complex. It is expected that both stages will be completed in 2.3 years. Within 3 years from the moment the project reaches its design capacity, sales will increase almost fourfold and exceed the implementation costs.
Locating production facilities in the Alga SEZ will provide a number of advantages: tax incentives, infrastructure‑provided sites, the possibility of applying a reduced coefficient for land lease and subsequent preferential purchase, and zero VAT (in the event of supplying products within the free customs zone). The sites have well‑developed logistics: in the Sterlitamak district, they are close to the R‑240 federal highway “Ufa–Orenburg” and the Kuibyshev Railway; in the Ufa district, they are close to the M‑5 “Ural” highway and have a railway access to the Trans‑Siberian Railway.
