During a meeting between representatives of Bashkortostan and Belarus, Kazimir Krul, deputy head of the administration of the Minsk SEZ, highlighted the practice of holding “Investment Hours” to attract investors. Reviewing projects at the level of Bashkortostan’s Head, Radiy Khabirov, creates a sense of reliability and security for project initiators, strengthening confidence in the region’s investment environment. Also, according to Artem Penzin, director of the management company of the Alga SEZ, this is influenced by the results of ratings and experience working with international projects. During the visit, the delegation visited the fifth site of the SEZ “Alga” – the Ufimsky industrial park.
– The enterprises mainly have a full production cycle, which is a very significant indicator for the development of such territories. In turn, my colleagues and I exchanged common ideas and issues that we now consider relevant. In general, taking into account our cooperation agreement with the Development Corporation, we want to develop cooperation and build more substantive cooperation, bring our residents here, including yours, to us,” Kazimir Krul shared after the visit.
Representatives of the Republic of Belarus noted the effectiveness of the SEZ and became interested in the current free customs zone on its territory. The guests were presented with the production facilities of the residents, which produce grain drying equipment, cardboard containers, industrial paints, lubricants and cooling lubricants.
“We are developing partnership ties with Belarus. Today, we shared our experience with our colleagues regarding attracting investors, building production facilities for residents, providing infrastructure for the sites and connecting enterprises to it, implementing ESG principles, and leasing plots. Interacting with representatives from friendly countries allows us to broaden our horizons: we adopt advanced approaches from each other, refine them taking into account our goals, and thereby increase our professional potential,” said Artem Penzin, Director of the Management Company of the Alga Special Economic Zone.
The residents demonstrated their production processes and spoke about their cooperation with the Bashkortostan Development Corporation, the geography of product supply, working conditions, and the established work with the management company.
