The heads of municipalities of the regions of the Russian Federation visited the Republic of Bashkortostan as part of the forum “Small Motherland”. They included representatives of the Amur Region, Donetsk People’s Republic, Ulyanovsk and Chelyabinsk regions. The guests visited the special economic zone “Alga” and the industrial park “Ufa”. Artem Penzin, Director of the SEZ management company, presented the infrastructure of the site, spoke about the advantages of hosting a business on its territory and shared his management experience.
The presence of a territory with preferential treatment is one of the factors contributing to the development of the municipality’s investment potential. The concentration of large enterprises makes it possible to improve tax generation and provide jobs for the population. The experience of SEZ development in the territories of several municipalities speaks to the importance of close cooperation between the management company and the district leadership,” Artem Penzin emphasized.
During the visit, the delegates also visited the enterprises of the residents: the Bashkir-Belarusian plant for the production of agricultural equipment “Amkodor-Agidel” and the production of lubricants “Rossiber”.
Vladislav Klyucharov, the head of the municipality of the Makeyevka city district of the Donetsk People’s Republic, noted the prospects for further cooperation between the municipality and Bashkir enterprises.
This is a grandiose industrial park, which employs a large number of facilities and technologies that promote import substitution throughout the country. We discussed the possibilities of cooperation with the heads of enterprises. There are a number of proposals, and I think we will find points of mutual understanding,” Vladislav Klyucharov shared his impressions.
The special economic zone “Alga” is located in the territories of Sterlitamak, Ishimbaysky and Ufa districts.
Today, its total area is 763 hectares. The functions of the SEZ management company are performed by the Bashkortostan Development Corporation.
In 2025, the Alga SEZ took the third place in the National Rating of Investment Attractiveness of the Russian SEZ.
