The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation has published a report on the results of the functioning of special economic zones for 2024. According to the monitoring results, the efficiency of the Alga SEZ, established in 2020 on the initiative of the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, has increased to 83% since its creation, exceeding the result of last year, when this figure was 79%. In 2024, the efficiency of the special economic zone was 73%.
The assessment was carried out using 25 quantitative indicators, as well as six calculated metrics, including: the effectiveness of residents’ work, the return on investment of budgets of all levels in infrastructure, the effectiveness of government bodies, the quality of planning for the creation of SEZs, and the contribution to achieving national development goals set by the May decree of the President of the Russian Federation. According to most indicators, the results of the SEZ “Alga” are ahead of the forecast figures.
– Since the establishment of the Alga special economic zone, a lot of work has been done to build infrastructure and attract residents. At each stage, the republic’s leadership provides significant support to the management company. Since 2020, 24 companies have become its residents, 6 are already producing their products. A number of sites are already actively provided with the necessary communications for the convenience of investors. As a result, we are seeing high demand for industrial sites, and therefore we are considering extending preferential treatment to new territories in Ufa and Ishimbai districts,” said Nail Gabbasov, General Director of the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan– the management company of the Alga SEZ.
The positive dynamics of the efficiency of the SEZ “Alga” is also due to the launch of new enterprises. So, in 2024, Azimut, a manufacturer of paint for road markings, launched the work. The company’s products are used in the implementation of federal and regional programs for the construction of transport infrastructure.
