On August 24, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, held the fifth meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Alga Special Economic Zone in Ishimbai.
During the discussion, the participants reviewed the development of the sites of the special economic zone, the work of existing enterprises, plans to create new production facilities, as well as their provision with raw materials and labor resources.
Nail Gabbasov, General Director of the Development Corporation, the management company of the SEZ “Alga”, was one of the speakers at the meeting. He spoke in detail about the progress of the creation of engineering facilities in the territory of the special economic zone.
Thus, Site No. 1 has already been provided with the necessary networks and communications and has begun to create them at sites No. 3 and No. 4. Design work is being completed at site No. 2. It is planned to fully provide the SEZ territory with the necessary infrastructure – internal roads, electricity, water and gas supply networks – in 2025-2026.
The Head of Bashkortostan stressed that the availability of engineering facilities is a key factor for the residents of the SEZ “Alga” to launch their projects.
– Infrastructure is the main issue for investors. This is the most important condition for the creation and development of production facilities. The task of providing the sites with all communications needs to be solved as a matter of priority,” said the head of the region, Radiy Khabirov.
The Supervisory Board also heard reports from current and potential residents of the SEZ, who spoke about the prospects for the development of their projects in the SEZ “Alga.
Following the meeting, the Head of the Republic gave a number of instructions concerning the construction of production facilities, the creation of infrastructure and staffing.
Separate instructions were given regarding the expansion of the SEZ territory. Recall that in early August, the authorities of Bashkortostan submitted an application for the expansion of the SEZ territory by 106 hectares at the expense of land plots in the Ufa district. The application was prepared by the Development Corporation in cooperation with the Regional Project Office of the Government of Bashkortostan. The territory planned for inclusion in the SEZ “Alga” in the Ufa district provides for the placement of three residents with a potential investment volume of more than 6 billion rubles and the creation of 480 jobs.
In addition, on behalf of the Head of the region, the republic has prepared a roadmap for further expansion of the SEZ at the expense of new sites in Agideli and Salavat. To do this, it is necessary to determine the pool of potential residents and prepare an application to the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.
