Two residents of the special economic zone “Alga” intend to place temporary customs points at their facilities. This became known during a working meeting of the current residents, representatives of the Bashkortostan Customs and the Office of the Government of the region. The meeting was organized by the management company of the preferential zone — the Development Corporation. The participants discussed the issues of conducting the procedure of a free customs zone and the application of tax and customs benefits by residents.
One of the most important preferences of the special economic zone “Alga” is the operation of the procedure of the free customs zone. By placing their production in the SEZ, the investor can count on tax benefits, import and export duties. This tool is especially useful when importing and storing equipment, as well as exporting manufactured products,” said Nail Gabbasov, General Director of the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan. — During the last meeting, we analyzed the nuances of the movement of products inside and outside the free customs zone. Thus, two residents, the companies “ZUR” and “M—Sintez”, declared their readiness to work out the issue of creating temporary customs points on the territory of enterprises. After the relevant request, the Development Corporation will begin the application procedure and communication with the federal customs authorities.
As residents of the SEZ “Alga” note, the possibility of organizing work within the framework of the procedure of the free customs zone was one of the main aspects of the placement of enterprises here. Thus, the company is exempt from a significant amount of customs duties on imported materials and raw materials processed on the territory of the SEZ, on goods imported and sold on the territory of the Customs Union, etc.
